Welcome to the web pages of the Individual Chamber of the European Family Therapy Association.

The association has as objective to encourage the following in the area of family systemic therapy:

- The maintenance and development of professional skills,
- Research and training in the field,
- Professional exchange between family therapists in Europe.

The Chamber of Individual Members of EFTA (EFTA-CIM) brings together a whole range of professionals (including, social workers, nurses, doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, …) who have completed an accredited training in family therapy and/or the systemic approach to working with families, and who have a practice in family therapy.

EFTA-CIM is one of the three chambers making up the European Family Therapy Association.  It co-ordinates its activities with the Training Institutes Chamber (EFTA-TIC) and the chamber that brings together the national associations from different countries (EFTA-NFTO).

We hope very much that this site will allow members of EFTA to establish and to maintain contact with each other, and to encourage active contacts with all those who are interested in the field of family therapy and systemic approach.
